By applying for the Global Academy Fellowship, each of the applicants implies willingness to fulfill the following expectations:
International Research Project: During the course of the fellowship year, each Fellow will be responsible for defining an international research project. At the conclusion of the Global year, each Fellow will present a Project Poster explaining the project, and complete and submit a Final Project Proposal. In addition, the Fellow will be expected to submit the international research project in the form of a proposal to a funding agency.
Meetings with Global Project Faculty Mentor: Each Fellow will meet with his/her Global Fellows faculty mentor on a regular basis to assist with the design of the international research project.
On-Campus Convening: Fellows will attend a two-day convening in the spring, during which they will interact with program officers and potential funding partners.
Washington D.C. Retreat: Fellows will spend three days in Washington, D.C., in the fall to hone their presentations and meet with potential funders.
